CHECK OUT OUR NEW WEBSITE!!!
With so much going on and exciting new things happening, we knew we had to upgrade our ability to communicate and share our news with our brotherhood and others interested in Sigma Nu at Oklahoma State. While it is still a work-in-progress (adding more pictures and videos), we have assembled our chapter and facility history, national fraternity information and links, brotherhood activities and information (including pictures & videos), alumni history and pictures, upcoming events (and online registration), and recruitment information. Check out our new website: https://okstatesigmanu.com/
While we are publishing the new website, we still want you to send in your pictures for the website and the Centennial Celebration to: SigmaNuEEmemories@gmail.com
If you know of a high caliber young man that might be interested in Sigma Nu, please go online to our new website under Recruitment and submit their name and information so our Rush teams can start connecting with them. It is especially important to get started now given current COVID restrictions.
CENTENNIAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE
We continue to progress toward our fundraising goal (over $4MM, but need at least $7MM)! We are having lots of chatter between pledge class captains and their pledge brothers to join our momentum and challenge/ whip other nearby pledge classes. Several pledge classes are closing in on or hit 100% participation. Additionally, we are finalizing some significant matching donations and will be sharing with you. We have pledges from almost 400 alumni to-date with the goal to reach 700 commitments by February 28th. EVERY BROTHER CAN and should DO SOMETHING! Join and watch our progress at the campaign website: https://epsilon-epsilon.squarespace.com/100
TALES FROM THE CARD ROOM
Griff Jones, EE 1724 Pledge Class of 1987
-What does Sigma Nu mean to you? It was a big part of me maturing and provided a foundation for me to work hard, treat people right, and pushed me past my comfort zone in all kinds of areas.
Most memorable moments: pledge class, pop/sono relationships, Frontier Ball, unity.
Most impactful moments: older members pushing me to be better.
-Why did you contribute to the House project? I can’t imagine my college experience without the memories and relationships I made. It was the right place for me at the right time in my life and there’s a real sense of pride that I can say I’m a Sigma Nu. I hope that tradition and those experiences can carry on for the next generation and happy to be part of creating a legacy asset for Sigma Nu, future brothers, and for OSU at an Iconic location.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
We are excited about opportunities to begin the next step in the mission of the LEAD member development program…to develop ethical leaders…by assisting collegiate brothers in their transition to the working world. The concept is still in-work, but Career Days and Expert Panel discussions are being investigated. If you have interest in sharing your career journey, expertise in your professional field, or assistance in networking for internships or career positions, please contact Jake LeForce at jake.leforce@okstate.edu. We hope to get a broad selection of careers/ professions involved.
